Botox & Dermal Fillers

Beyond teeth….Enhance Your Smile with Botox® and Dermal Fillers

What is Botox?

Botox is a non-invasive treatment to help smooth out facial wrinkles. The procedure involves injecting a FDA approved purified protein (Botox®, Xeomin®, Dysport®) into the facial muscles to help relax those muscles, which causes the overlying skin to lay flat and unwrinkled, resulting in a more youthful, radiant appearance. Botox can be used to temporarily smooth out frown lines between the eyes, Forehead, Crow’s feet, and Radial lip lines (smokers lines)

Improvement in the skin’s appearance will be noted about 10 days after treatment. Unlike surgical procedures, there is no recovery time associated with this therapy, and patients can return to normal activity the same day. The procedure takes about 15-20 minutes and the results can last up to 3 months. The effects of Botox therapy is temporary, usually lasting about 3- 4 months.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers (such as Juvederm®, Restylane® or Radiesse®) are used to restore volume to the area around the mouth, enhancing your smile. Dermal Fillers give lips fullness, erase the downward frown lines at the corners of the mouth, as well as wrinkles/creases in cheek areas. There is no recovery time associated with dermal filler treatment as there is with a surgical procedure. The effects of dermal fillers can last anywhere from 6-12 months depending on the product, after which treatment may need to be repeated to maintain your appearance.
